Journeys

A journey is the path someone takes through your product — signing up, checking out, an agent-assisted task — step by step.

A signal is one event. A journey groups many under one lifecycle, so you can ask how far people got and where they dropped off.

Example: ecommerce checkout

aether.startJourney('checkout', { journeyId: 'ord_draft_492' });

aether.checkpointJourney('shipping_address_entered');
aether.checkpointJourney('payment_method_selected');

aether.completeJourney('order_placed');
// or, if the user gives up:
aether.abandonJourney('cart_expired');

Lifecycle events

journey_started, journey_checkpoint, journey_paused, journey_resumed, journey_continued, journey_completed, journey_abandoned. Each carries journeyId, journeyName, journeyType, and journeyStatus.
